North County Flight Training

North County Flight Training (“NCFT”) respects your privacy and takes the handling of your personal and training information seriously. In order to provide flight instruction, we collect and maintain certain personal, training, and regulatory information required by the FAA.

This includes identification, pilot certificates, medical certificates, training records, logbook entries, and communication related to your instruction. We also maintain billing records for services rendered.

Your information is used only for the purpose of providing flight training and complying with FAA regulations. It is never sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party outside of required regulatory or legal obligations.

All student training flights are logged and retained permanently as part of the instructor’s FAA-required records and cannot be altered or deleted.

1. Information We Collect

NCFT may collect and maintain the following information:

  • Full legal name and contact information
  • Government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
  • FAA certificates and pilot records
  • Medical certification information (FAA medicals, BasicMed documentation, etc.)
  • Training records, endorsements, and logbook entries
  • IACRA-related information and documentation
  • Communication records (email, scheduling messages, training coordination)
  • Billing and payment records

2. How Information Is Used

All collected information is used strictly for:

  • Providing flight instruction and aviation training services
  • Completing FAA-required endorsements and training documentation
  • Maintaining accurate instructor and student logbooks
  • Scheduling and coordinating flight training
  • Billing and administrative purposes
  • Regulatory compliance with the FAA and applicable aviation authorities

3. Data Storage & Retention

Student records and training data are maintained through secure systems including pilot logbooks, Google Drive, email communication, and other standard business tools.

Some operational systems (such as scheduling or club-based aircraft management tools) are provided by third-party flight club or aviation service providers and are not controlled by NCFT.

Flight training records, endorsements, and instructor logbook entries are retained permanently in accordance with FAA requirements and cannot be modified, deleted, or removed.

Billing records are retained for accounting and tax purposes as required by law.


4. Information Sharing

NCFT does not sell, rent, or share personal information with any third parties.

Information may only be disclosed if required by:

  • FAA regulation or audit
  • Legal subpoena or court order
  • Insurance or safety-related regulatory requirements

5. Payment Information

Payments may be accepted via cash or common peer-to-peer payment platforms such as Apple Cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App.

All payments are final. No refunds are provided under any circumstances.


6. Students Under 18

Students must be at least 15 years of age to enroll.

Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who:

  • Provides consent for training
  • Accepts financial responsibility for all training costs

7. Aircraft & Rental Policy

NCFT does not provide aircraft for training.

All flight training is conducted through Pacific Coast Flyers, and students must maintain an active membership with the flying club unless they provide their own aircraft.

Aircraft rental, scheduling, and operational control are managed independently by the flying club.


8. Testimonials

Testimonials displayed on this website are used with permission. Depending on individual preference, they may appear with full name or initials only.


9. FAA Compliance & Instructor Records

As a certificated flight instructor, Jeff White is required by the FAA to maintain accurate, permanent training records and logbook entries for all instruction provided.

These records are part of official instructor documentation and are not subject to deletion, modification, or removal upon request.


10. Security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect student information. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security, and students acknowledge this inherent limitation when providing information.


11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in regulations, operations, or business practices. The most current version will always be available on the NCFT website.
